Washington State Society

The Mission

The Washington State Society is a non-profit, non-partisan, member organization comprised of individuals who are living and working in the Washington, D.C. area but are “rooted” in Washington State.

The Challenge

Revamp the original pixelated art photo to be a modern, inviting, and exciting logo that represents the Washington State Society. Designing a logo that can represents both Washington state and Washington D.C. while being simplistic and creative in its form.

The Solution

An illustrative logo paired with a strong typeface to express the importance of the Washington State Society. Being from Washington, I am very familiar with the different aspects of the Pacific Northwest and the symbols that are associated with the region. When I think of the Pacific Northwest I think of nature and comfort. I made sure to incorporate both into the logo.
